Whereas your Online or Bespoke Will deals with your intentions after your death, a Lasting Power of Attorney lets somebody that you trust act for you if you become incapable of acting for yourself during your lifetime.
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that you should make to complement your Will.
There are 2 different types of Lasting Powers of Attorney; a Health & Welfare LPA and a Property & Financial Affairs LPA.
Your LPA must be written in a prescribed form and be registered with the Office of the Public Guardian.
An LPA is a powerful legal document. If you want to get legal advice to help you with the LPA form please contact our Support Team
